Walking across the central road of the village one can enjoy the characteristic scents of fresh greek coffee and freshly baked bread that comes from the traditional bakeries. Visitors have also the opportunity to try fresh fish and various local traditional dishes at the taverns nearby the sea.

Derveni is also famous for its nightlife. At night, beach bars turn into seaside night bars and are overwhelmed by young people having fun until the morning.
